The "Monkfish" or "Headfish" [lol] is the English name for the fish found in the Northwest Atlantic.

This fish looks like it just had taken some improper facial surgery with that swollen face. Monkfish has a wide mouth. I don't think it is a monkfish. Yet, the mucus makes it disgusting.
Looked more like a genetically impaired Monkfish if this photo was not manipulated at all....Seems like Half toad half Janitor fish as well..
That fish does look very tired after the swim. He seemed to have shrunk eyebrow. But I think this is not the monkfish. That mucus makes me feel disgusted and I would not hold it.
Well, the fish looks more like a frog that has a fin.
